The Urgent Message

My daughter told me of how she was approached by an African woman who was very agitated. She had in her hand a note, a copy of which is shown below. She had very poor English but perhaps was able to interpret the word Urgent. She obviously was afraid that the note, which was printed so as to appear hand written, represented some problem for her and required her immediate attention.

We have such messages left in our letter box quite often but because we swim comfortably in a language that we are the master of, experience only amusement, if we take notice at all. It read:

URGENT.
I need a property in your area. If you are thinking of selling or wanting to sell. (sic) Please give me a call. Roger Smith 04055577294
